I noticed how difficult it was for me to express it and how often I saw anger as something negative, something to control or hide. I wanted to see what would happen if I let myself feel it and gave it space to come out. I created the painting in a forest, without knowing what the image would be. I struck the canvas with wheat stalks and branches, threw paint-filled pinecones at it, worked with my hands, moved, and let the emotion take over.
