Viktor Shatalin
ProfessionalUkrainian painter and teacher (1926–2003), People's Artist of the Ukrainian SSR (1967) and laureate of the Shevchenko Prize (1984). He taught at the Kyiv Art Institute from 1966 until 2003, becoming a professor in 1976. He worked in landscape, portrait, still life and battle painting; his work is held by the National Art Museum of Ukraine.
